Paper chase on the first day of work: PROBAT welcomes new trainees
Emmerich am Rhein, August 20, 2024: Eleven new trainees started their career at PROBAT with a scavenger hunt on the company premises. Over the next three years, they will be trained at the Emmerich site as electronics technicians for industrial engineering, warehouse logistics specialists, industrial clerks, industrial mechanics, and IT specialists.
On their first day at work, the new PROBAT trainees were able to put their teamwork and orientation skills to the test, as they had to complete a course with a total of eleven stations on the PROBAT premises in small groups within a given time. The aim of this paper chase was not only to solve the individual tasks and the associated knowledge transfer about the processes relevant for the trainees at PROBAT, but to get to know the company premises. The selection of the stations on the course was not random, but based on the distribution of the company departments that are important for the young newcomers: From administration to production to the distribution warehouse, the route took them all over the site. At the end, a special prize awaited all participants in the form of branded articles coveted by PROBAT enthusiasts and a card with a monthly fuel credit, which PROBAT makes available to all trainees in addition to their training allowance.
During the official welcome, which was also attended by the PROBAT training team, CFO Christian Thimm gave the new employees a special tip for the start of their careers: "Go through your training with open eyes, always remain curious, think for yourself and actively participate in shaping our processes. We look forward to giving you our full support in this important phase.”
With this motivating starting signal, the new trainees are now ideally equipped not only to develop their professional skills at PROBAT, but also to actively contribute to the further development of the company.
