Emmerich on the Rhine, March 2021: The employees of PROBAT-Werke in Emmerich donate raffle proceeds to charity organisations: A total of 2,700 euros are equally shared between Aktion Lichtblicke e.V., Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. and Fördergemeinschaft Deutsche Kinderherzzentren e.V.
To support fellow human beings in emergency situations has been a very important concern for the PROBAT employees for many years. The annual collection of donations in a raffle during the PROBAT Christmas party has become a company tradition meanwhile. In the past, many local and interregional institutions and associations were glad to receive voluntary financial donations from the employees. This readiness to help others is a concern of the heart for all involved even during the current exceptional situation caused by the Corona crisis. The employees all agreed to organise the raffle, although the Christmas party had to be cancelled due to the virus. And it was a real success! Moreover, the company management of the machine manufacturer based in Emmerich even doubled the amount collected.
At the beginning of this year, three charity organisations each received 900 euros: an internal voting was done and the following organisations were chosen: Aktion Lichtblicke e.V., Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. and Fördergemeinschaft Deutsche Kinderherzzentren e.V.
Aktion Lichtblicke, which was launched by the 45 local radio stations in North Rhine-Westphalia, supports amongst others children, adolescents and their families, who are materially, financially or emotionally in need. Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe is active in different social and charitable fields. Its most important concern is the help which is given from person to person.
The target of Deutsche Kinderherzzentren e.V. is to give little heart patients a chance to have a carefree life, wherever they are born.
This special willingness of the PROBAT employees to donate does not only reflect the global and local social responsibility of the company, but is also a commitment of them to show the required solidarity, particularly in times of crisis.
