Emmerich, Germany, September 6, 2023: PROBAT will showcase its P05e electric-powered specialty roaster at the World Coffee Conference & Expo (WCC) in Bangalore from September 25-28. In a hands-on roasting workshop, the pioneer in introducing scalable, environmentally friendly technologies to the coffee industry will prove once again that consistency and reproducibility of roasting results in no way depend on the type of fuel used for the roasting process.
The clean energy transition is also rapidly forging ahead in India with ambitious climate targets to be met near-term. And the local coffee sector pushes for sustainable technology to mitigate its carbon dioxide emissions. With the presentation of the P05e electrically operated specialty roaster at WCC, PROBAT just matches the pulse of the time by making the long-yearned-for technology available on the Indian subcontinent. And claims about the inflexibility of electrical heating in roasting machines that are circulating within parts of the coffee industry, are clearly discharged: the built-in hot air blower of the P05e neither needs time to cool down nor to heat up like traditional heating elements and thus reacts as immediately as a burner without any delay in response time. On special request, the P05 is also available for the Indian market as a hydrogen-powered version with retrofit kits for installed roasting systems (also P series II). The same applies to all other P series roasters such as the P12 and the P60, which are showcased at the company's WCC booth.
PROBAT India Managing Director K. Srinivasan is looking forward to representing the company at the fifth edition of the international coffee conference and exhibition: "We will showcase the P Series models, which range from P05 to P12 to P60, and highlight the different fuel options available to meet our customers' individual needs. We will also provide some insights into hydrogen as an alternative fuel option. At the heart of all our presentations is our commitment to sustainable coffee roasting solutions that integrate cutting-edge technology and automation.”
Alternative fuels for the future of coffee roasting - the name of the workshop held by PROBAT experts Ilvana Weiler, Trainer and Consultant R&D Center, and Ingo Binzen, Executive Vice President Sales, at WCC says it all: to make the coffee industry fit for the future, it must abandon the use of fossil fuels in roasting in the long term. Green electricity and hydrogen are the only answers to the question of alternative energy sources that effectively reduce the carbon footprint of coffee roasting. The desire for appropriate technology is steadily increasing worldwide, while the high demand for consistent roasting results remains the same. During the two-hour roasting session on a P05e, participants will be able to see for themselves that the heat source has no impact on the development of flavor profiles or the reproducibility of roasting results, regardless of whether gas or electricity is used.
Whether you already know exactly what you are looking for or would first like to obtain comprehensive information on the available heating options or the complete specialty roaster portfolio of the world market and technology leader, in Bangalore the PROBAT experts will give you targeted advice tailored to your requirements.
