Emmerich am Rhein, August 2023: Ten graduates started their apprenticeship at PROBAT at the beginning of August. In the next few years, they will be trained at the world market leader in coffee processing plant and machinery as electronic technician for industrial engineering, IT specialist for system integration or application development, industrial clerk, industrial mechanic, and technical product designer. One new recruit is completing her dual studies in technical product design.
Together with the responsible trainers of the company, members of the works council, and the youth and trainee representatives, Wim Abbing welcomed the new trainees to their first professional stage of life: "We are pleased to welcome again this year a number of young people who have decided to start their professional career at PROBAT. And it is with just as much anticipation that I look forward to this year's anniversary celebration of our long-serving employees, including two who have already remained loyal to our company for five decades. The time span between today and retirement is indeed large, while at the same time the cycles of change are becoming shorter and shorter. This makes the work at PROBAT varied and very exciting. We would like to accompany you on your professional path, with the aim of taking you on in the long term as part of the - now very large - team at the Emmerich site."
With its broad range of training programs, the Emmerich-based company is meeting the current challenges facing the training of skilled workers, which also include the growing demands of the international coffee market. Applicants can choose between a total of seven training occupations. In addition to those mentioned above, there is also a training program for machining mechanics. In addition, PROBAT offers dual courses in cooperation with the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in the fields of electronics technician for industrial engineering, technical product designer, and international business and management, each with a bachelor's degree. A master's degree can also be obtained.
The family business, now in its fourth generation, has an excellent reputation throughout the region as a training company. PROBAT has already been honored by the Lower Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce as a recognized training company for its special commitment to training.
