The Emmerich fire brigade uses its own hall on the PROBAT company premises as a parking space for a fire engine. During the company's official working hours, a fire engine is readily available, which can reach downtown Emmerich three to five minutes faster than the vehicles of the main fire station in case of emergency.
Apart from the optimal location, another advantage is of great importance: around ten PROBAT employees in Emmerich are active in the voluntary fire brigade. In case of an emergency they can drive to the scene directly during working hours and do not have to go via their respective station first. Finally, a fire engine and the corresponding equipment on site also protect PROBAT's employees, machines, and buildings if a fire should break out on the company premises.
